PLAYLUST.THEPOP.COM sent us these pictures and a great story about how to dress for the red carpet in style.
"In May, I received a last minute invitation to the Cannes Film Festival including appearance on the official red carpet. Problem: I didn't have a red carpet dress (for obvious reasons;-)), plus I was down with a flu which ruled out a last minute shopping trip. Next, I saw online pics of Catherine Deneuve attending a Cannes press conference clad in nothing but a navy trench, classic Belle de Jour style. That look's so belle toujours, I thought. And since my personal style's all about a few fashion essentials I can wear from daytime into evening (= must look good at work & cocktails), a trench fitted the bill perfectly. Well, my trench turned out a great success on the beach and on the red carpet. Trench toujours!"
A beautiful but somewhat scary vibe in this contribution from frombrazilwithlove.thepop.com.
Leave it to the Austrians to create a scenario where they bring out the melancholy side of the trenchcoat. Genious. Courtesy of austrianfashionnet.thepop.com.
The trench is quintessentially British so Stand By Me does the natural thing: takes it to the British street. Don't forget to find out what else he's up to at standbyme.thepop.com.
Filep Motwary's second part of his story My Afternoon Secret is stunningly romantic! Check out his blog as well: filipmotwary.thepop.com
The second part of Style Slicker's POP of the trench saga is all about joy and movement.
From Brazil With Love's second contribution is a caleidoscopic vision of the trenchcoat.
Sexy and sassy, it's Hop On The Spiral Bitch's contribution to POP of the trench!
